Diary Dates for the Guernsey Festival Chorus

Most of our concerts feature professional guest artistes from the UK (mainly England and Wales) together with the Choir's soloists. The Friendship Company of juniors and teenagers often feature in our concerts.

Our Good Friday concert is on 2nd  April at St James Hall. The evening offers a profound and moving portrayal of the events of those biblical times from Palm Sunday through to the crucifixion of Christ with guest artists Steve Cameron - Cello and George Foote - Narrator.

Next is our 65th Anniversary Liberation Day Gala Concert on 7th May 2010 at St James Hall.  Fervent singing by audience and choir, cheerily dressed in red, white and blue, celebrating in a Praise 'n Proms night.

An annual event of the Choir is informal carol singing in the town of St Peter Port in December. However, to round off the year, most popular of all will be the 'Family Carols Festival' - carols, bells, party hats and seasonal music for everyone at St James Hall with a special performance from the children's choir Friendship Company. The Christmas Carol Festival concerts will be on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th December 2010.
